From Misses R. & S. Sanford's description in the 1973 Teddington Society Survey:
"Clarence House 2-storey early Victorian style flat-fronted yellow brick House painted drab decorated white. Tall house, front door to left up 2 steps. Tall sash window to right, wide painted window sill on wooden supports. Above 2 tall sash windows name CLARENCE HOUSE inserted between. Originally a detached house but now joined at ground floor to no. 9."
It is currently (2013) believed to have been built in the late 1850s.
