Son of Sydney Gedge MP and Augusta Elizabeth Gedge née Herring

of Mitcham Hall, Surrey

Married 6th August 1892 at St George Hanover Square, London

to Jessie Catherine Beckley Rogers (1865–1923)

who lived at Brackendale, Strawberry Hill and is buried in Teddington Cemetery

Born 20th February 1866 at Mitcham Hall, Surrey

Educated at Eton College and Trinity College, Cambridge

A barrister who practised on the South-Eastern Circuit

He enlisted on 9th October 1914 with the Sportsman’s Battn.

Promoted to 2nd Lieutenant with the London Regiment (Royal Fusiliers), 3rd Bttn.

Killed in action on 25th September 1915 during the Battle of Loos in France
