Born about March 1894 at Woking, Surrey

Educated at Teddington Council School, Stanley Road, Teddington

Enlisted on 11th September 1911, aged 18 years 9 months

Gunner (67017), Royal Field Artillery (14Hth A.H.A. Bde., Signal Sect, R.E.)

Sapper (253539) with the Royal Engineers

Served in France until repatriated to England on 6th November 1918

Died of influenza at Military Hospital, Kingston-on-Thames on 9th November 1918, aged 25

Buried on 16th November 1918 at Teddington Cemetery (Plot M Grave D.393)

His grave is marked with a Commonwealth War Graves Commission headstone
