Alfred "Fred" George Fenn

Son of Frank and Annie Fenn of 46 Victor Road, Teddington.

Born about October 1897 at Teddington and educated at Teddington Council School.

Enlisted at Hounslow around Easter 1915, aged 16 years, without his parents’ knowledge.

Private (G/9726) with the Middlesex Regiment, 4th Battn

In July 1915 he was dispatched to France as a ‘bomb and grenade thrower’.

Killed in action in Belgium on 28th September 1915, aged 17 years.

Listed on the Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial, West Flanders, Belgium (Panel 49 and 51)
