William ‘Bertie’ Edwards

Son of Henry ‘Harry’ James Edwards and Ellen Elizabeth Edwards née Mitchell

of 4 St Mark’s Road, South Teddington

Born 28th May 1922 at Teddington

Educated at Teddington Council School, Stanley Road, Teddington

Employed as an errand boy for wine merchants

Died 29th November 1940 at Church Road, Teddington during enemy bombing of the Teddington area

Buried 6th December 1940, aged 18 years in Teddington Cemetery (Plot T Grave 2123)

Listed on the Stanley Road School WW2 War Memorial
