Broom Close Boathouse, rear

Road: Broom Close

Property: Boathouse

Early 20th Century boathouse with a single storey finished in rusticated render. It has pan-tiles on the roof with decorative ridge tiles in an arts and crafts style and mock timber boarding. The boathouse is of high quality design and craftsmanship and represents an important group of private and commercial boathouses which were constructed for the popularity of boating for pleasure during the late 19th and early 20th Century along this section of the Thames. The boathouse maintains much of its original features and is authentic to the time it was constructed. It is close to the Grade II* listed Velma Boathouse.
