Reginald Ernest Barnes

Son of Castle Brangwin Barnes and Mary Ann Barnes née Mason of 52 Connaught Road, Teddington

Born about May 1898 at Deptford, Kent (now Southwark, Greater London)

Lived at 11 Edward Road, Hampton Hill and 52 Connaught Road, Teddington

Employed at Gaiety Theatre at Twickenham and cinema operator and electrician at St George’s Theatre, Canterbury

Enlisted in December 1916 as Trooper (2402) with No.1 Company of the Household Battalion (Life Guards)

Killed in action in France on 12th December 1917, aged 19

Buried at Happy Valley British Cemetery, Fampoux, Departement du Pas-de-Calais, France (Plot: C. 11)
