"A narrow cul-de-sac between the back gardens of Wick Rd and the railway line, with houses on one side of the road only. There is only one pair of houses in the part of the street leading to the main terrace, the right hand side being the premises of the corner pub and its reputed stable block. Most of the street was probably built with the school ie 1875 or after" TeddSoc Survey 1973
