Served as Company Sergeant Major with the King’s Royal Rifle Corps, 17th Battn., “C” Coy.
Killed in action 3rd September 1916, aged 39
Buried at Ancre British Cemetery, Beaumont-Hamel, Departement de la Somme, Picardie, France
