Alfred Ernest Grove

Son of George Grove and Ellen Grove née Kevis of Edith Terrace, Teddington.

Born about September 1888 at Teddington

His father George died in 1900 and his mother Ellen in 1908.

By 1911 he was a butcher's assistant and a boarder at 48 Walpole Road, Teddington.

Member of Teddington Rovers Football Club

He enlisted at Kingston-on-Thames as Private (14587), Hampshire Regiment, 2nd Battn.

Killed in action on 17th May 1915 at Gallipoli.
