This page is part of the Directory of Buildings of Townscape Merit (BTMs) and Listed Buildings in Teddington assembled by the Planning and History Groups of The Teddington Society. You can view King Edward's Grove on Google Maps. The properties in this road designated by the Council on their website as Buildings of Townscape Merit are:

King Edward's Grove No. 82

"The road is shown on the 1863 OS map which was surveyed just after the manor of Teddington was sold and the land ripe for development. On the 1893 OS map the road is called Cornelius Rd, probably named after Cornelius Park, who bought much of the manor land. There was only one house on the north side, approximately in the centre of the road. The road is not shown on the 1895 Kelly's Directory. Much of the road was built by W.G. Collier about 1904. This road is said to be named after King Edward VII who bought a house there for Lily Langtry."TeddSoc 1975 Anyone who knows anything about the buildings in this road and their history or who has a better photograph of any of these buildings is asked to get in touch by email.
