2nd Liet. with the East Yorkshire Regiment, 1st Battn.
Killed in action in Belgium on 4th October 1917, aged 19
Buried at Ypres Reservoir Cemetery, Belgium, Ypres, West Flanders, Belgium (Grave VII. C. 7).
