Nos. 42 and 44 are a pair of "elegant" large semi-detached 4-storey houses with semi basement, brick built elevations, slate roof surfaces with mansard slopes. Bay sash window at ground floor with rendered arches and reveals. There are rendered balustrades to steps to the front doors which have ornamental porches with dentillated cornices and supported by pilasters and columns. The 2nd floor dormer windows have ornamental arches and reveals. The semi basements are rendered, both properties have garages and the land slopes away towards the river.
