Hastings Court

Road: Royal Road

Property: 35 “Hastings Court”

Hastings Court was built in 1970 for Richmond Borough. It is a Modernist building designed for retirees. It is three storeys tall and made up of 9 hexagons which are joined together by large areas of glazing. It has good quality brutalist inspired design using concrete, brick, glass and steel with much of the original fabric still intact, except for the UPVC windows. It is possibly in-fill after bomb damage as originally 3 dwellings were here. (Source: Richmond Council Assessment)
