"Homemead", 28 Park Road

Road: Park Road, Teddington

Property: 28, "Homemead"

This is an Edwardian house set in its own garden. In 1952 the house was converted into a home for old people. Now it is a care home owned by Central and Cecil and accommodates 30 residents with dementia. The 1970s Teddington Society Survey described it as "a 3-storey building with casement windows. The upper 2-storeys are tile hung." It has a tiled roof with gabled upper storey windows, bay windows at ground floor and a porched front door. (It is thought that the house was originally built by the owners of Park House, no. 106, for a member of the family.)
