Charles Arthur Ernest Massey

Only son of Ernest Arthur Massey and Cecelia Marie Massey née Hunt

Born 14th May 1895 at North Kensington, Middlesex

Lived at 52 Shacklegate Lane and 41 Windsor Road, Teddington

Educated at Teddington Council School, Stanley Road, Teddington

Greengrocer Assistant of 52 Shacklegate Lane, Teddington in 1911

Engineering fitter at the London United Tramways Depot, Fulwell in 1915

Enlisted at Wimbledon, Surrey on 21st October 1915

Gunner (47159), Royal Horse Artillery and Royal Field Artillery, "C" Bty. 190th Bde.

Killed in action on the Somme on 21st October 1916, aged 21 (exactly one year after enlistment).
