Ronald Cecil Claude Deeks

Son of Henry (Harry) Harrold Deeks and Emma Deeks née Haley of 86 Church Road, Teddington.

Born 17th October 1899 in Teddington

Baptised 12th November 1899 at St Peter and St Paul's Church, Teddington.

Educated at Hampton Grammar School, Hampton, Middlesex


Enlisted at Hampton Hill (while living at Teddington)

Private (61301) with the Middlesex Regiment, 6th Battn

Lance Corporal (79343) with Royal Fusiliers, 9th Battn.

Died of wounds in France on 27th August 1918, aged 18 years.

Buried at Daours Communal Cemetery Extension, Departement de la Somme, Picardie, France (Plot: VII. A. 9)
