George Easter Brown

Son of Thomas Robert and Florence Mary Brown of 91 High Street, Teddington

Born about June 1892 at Winslow, Buckinghamshire

Educated at Hampton Grammar School (and known as "Tubby")

Listed on Roll of Local Patriots, SC.24 Oct 1914.

Served with Honourable Artillery Company (Territorial Forces).

Promoted to 2nd Liet in 1917.

Drowned on 20th April 1917 at Bailleul, France, aged 25

"Enlisted in the H.A.C. soon after the war broke out and had been in France more than two years without receiving a scratch.

At the beginning of this year he was given a commission, and, soon after, the end came. He had a good record at school and

his cheerful good temper made him generally popular". (The Lion, Hampton Grammar School. Midsummer 1917, p.4.)
