TW11 magazine gets a fresh look

Christiane Ella at her desk

TW11, Teddington’s local monthly features magazine (and a Corporate Member of the Teddington Society), has been rebranded and relaunched. The familiar format remains, but the publication’s title is now Teddington TW11.

The fresh look is thanks to the magazine’s new publisher, Christiane Ella. She bought the business from the previous owner, Dawn Stoddart, and among the changes she has introduced are a “get to know your neighbour” feature, an increased events section and a nature watch column. Already the magazine’s circulation has increased by more than 300.

“I’m spending time meeting local people and traders because community spirit is a positive thing and I want to develop it through the magazine” Christiane said. “I also want people to call me with events and items of interest to the community, and if I can help, I will.”

TW11 and its sister publication in Twickenham enjoy an estimated (and climbing) readership of 30,000. They are funded by advertising, but the rates are kept at a level affordable to small businesses – so the more Christiane can muster, editorial content will increase as well.

“What I want to do is keep a good healthy balance between the two” she added. In due course she also hopes to enlarge the magazines’ circulation area. Meanwhile, copies are available at Teddington Library and the Landmark Arts Centre
